Days with Grammie

Days with Grammie are the best medicine for the doldrums of winter. She always made sure breakfast was extra yummy with freshly made orange juice from the very local, backyard trees.
Then we sit outside for a bit and knit and crochet and read and chat. I take pictures of her and she take pictures of me. We drink a bit of tea.
I was hoping to have some knitting to show from all my time spent knitting in the same place that I learned to knit exactly nine years ago, but I have absolutely nothing. I knit and knit then started to chat and messed up and knit backwards to fix my mistake. Then I'd knit again and repeat. Slow goings, but I guess that's alright. The company was good.

Also, you all are too sweet! Your kind words on 200 posts really made me smile! If you haven't already commented for the give away, hop over to yesterday and do that. Tomorrow I'll reveal the random winner and share a new favorite recipe (cousin to death by chocolate)

Have a great day!

The time together with your dear grammie is so much more important then the volume of knitting, as you so know. Life is but perspective. From there all things good happen in their given time. A good day to you and continued happiness from the love that endures across the miles!

Congrats you your 200 posts! i think I want to make a linen one for myself, so I'll cheer for someone else to win the cute blue one you made for your giveaway. It sounds like your visit was perfect.

This post makes me want to go and visit my Grandma. :) Although, I do wish she lived somewhere that's nice and warm right now.

It is absolutely wonderful that you could spend time with your grandmother like this. Social knitting has its dangers for sure- as ye knit so shall ye un-knit...I think it is one of the knitters ten commandments.

It sounds to me like Jessica and Grammie adore each other and are very much alike. You're very lucky to have your grandmother still with you. Oh...and the photo of your grammie knitting is totally precious.

Oops...wait a minute...on my second look...she's crocheting isn't she?
