A little green...

I've been beating the second-sock-syndrome blahs with another little knit-stitch project. A fun little, post-class or between work and class activity that I really couldn't mess up too horribly.
Those mitts by Leslie are just perfect for this in-between weather of late-winter and early-spring. Those days when you just need a little something during evening walks or morning hikes. They were fun and quick to knit up and only required a few afternoons or evenings to knit up.

I wrapped them up in a little vintage fabric bow and set them out for my sister to 'open' when she arrived home to stay with me for a week. On she put them and they fit! Out for a walk we went and her hands stayed toasty warm. Oh, those mitts...I think I need a pair myself.

More info: The yarn is from my LYS. It's Cascade 9407 and I loved it.

Pita bread: I used this tutorial/recipe which was very informative (and had lots of pictures). I used a spray bottle and sprayed the life out of the pita before I put it in the oven so it was very, very moist.

Happy St. Patrick's day! I'm off to dye food green at school and search for leprechauns.

I definitely need a pair of these. I think I even have the yarn I'll use already in my stash. Isn't that the best?! Nice work, and Happy St. Pat's Day!! Enjoy your green food...

I love "Those Mitts" -- as a matter of fact have made four pair, but couldn't remember what they were after printing out the pattern as a word doc (rather than pdf) a long time ago. I'm so glad you reunited me with the correct pattern and designer. I've made changes to my ravelry pages about all four of my pair of mitts. Thanks -- and ENJOY your mitts. They *are* lovely, especially when made from Malabrigo Worsted :)
