Searching for Merriment

That's Grammie fixing my sweater. Clearly merriment.

The grey weather has got me down. Rain instead of snow and not much sun. Transitions always get me. I'm not such a fan of the unsettledness of the in-between stage I am in. There has been a loss this past week that really hit me hard and made me call people to tell them I loved them. And give extra hugs, too. I guess I am just feeling a bit grey. I need a shift in my perspective.

So today I am on a mission: I am searching for merriment. My camera will travel with me and I will report back later. There are great and wonderful things all around us and so many times the good is not what we see.

Care to join in, too?

hmmm, I can really relate living in Seattle brings plenty of rain and grey. So much so I noticed that I have 5 grey shirts in my closet to match!

I hope you find the merriment you're looking for. I definitely think there's merriment to be found in your sweet Grammie fixing your sweater. ;)

I'm sorry about your loss and I do hope you find that just right lift for your spirits. I love seeing the picture of your Grammie's hands. I wish I had a picture of my grandma's hands.

I so admire you getting out there and actively searching for it! I really should do the same...Rainy and gray here in Teddington, too. K x

I feel a bit like you at the moment. We had an unfortunate situation that's pretty much affected us all. But I try to look for those little moments that mean so much to each of us. I hope you find that little bit of peace and hopefully the sun will start shining on you soon!

Thanks for your kind words on my blog entry today....Let me share some kindness with you. I'm truly sorry for your loss and here's a hug to help you get through some difficult days. Change can be unsettling, but things will be okay in the end. Persevere. And I'm sure merriment will come your way.

Good luck on your quest, Jessica. The best medicine for unsettled feelings is to seek out the happiness around you and acknowledge it. It's easy to miss it when you're feeling down. I'm curious to see what you find.
(And congrats on the good news in the previous post!)

I am sorry for your loss. Transitions can definitely be hard. Remember, you have worked hard for this transition. You will be happy once you are settled into the new groove. In the meantime, this is an easy season to find merriment....I hope you have captured it already.

Hello,
I have so enjoyed your blog. I went back through and read every post over the week end. My dh is from upstate NY. He asked where are you from? He is from Spencerport just outside Rochester. He doesn't miss the cold. LOL
Blessings,
Elizabeth
